The Everona Cheese Store

The Cheese Store at Everona is open by appointment only. Please call ahead and we will do our best to meet your needs. Phone: 540-854-4159

Here is a picture, taken last summer, of some of the “girls” lounging under the trees. They are milked twice a day with plenty of time in between to eat, drink, and rest.

Tours

We have tours available of the dairy, the cheesemaking operation, and a visit to the sheep, followed by a cheese-tasting of our products. Tours must be scheduled ahead and are $20.00 per adult. Children are free when accompanied by an adult. Call 540-854-4159 for information or to schedule your visit!

The Virginia Piedmont is a lovely place to live or visit. If you are coming from a distance, you may want to include a visit to a local winery or to Montpelier in your itinerary. The Inn at Meander Plantation is a great place to stay and eat and is only a few miles from us. Barboursville Vineyards is also nearby and offers winery tours, dining at Palladio Restaurant, and accomodations. Call us for other suggestions.

Southwest on US66 to 29S at Gainesville
29 south to Rt 3 at Culpeper
Left off the ramp 1/2 mile then right (south) on Rt. 522
522 south, to right turn on 617 (16 miles) after crossing the Rapidan River [Note: skip the first 617 near Culpeper]
617 to the next road, Clarks Mountain Rd. Turn right and then left in the first drive

From Fredericksburg and Rt. 95

I-95 South
Take exit 130B to Rt. 3 West. Follow 12.9 miles to Rte 20
Left on Rt. 20, Southwest. Follow 13.3. miles to Rt. 522
Right on 522, North. Follow for 2.6 miles and turn left on first road, 701, West
Follow for .3 miles to Rt. 617
Right onto Rt. 617, follow for .4 miles to Rt.627
Bear left on Rt. 627 for .2 miles. Then left into first drive

From Charlottesville

Northeast on Rt. 20 (or on Rt. 29 to 33E to 20)
Continue through the town of Orange on 20 (27 miles from the intersection of 20 & 250 in Charlottesville) to Rt. 522
Left on 522, North. Follow for 2.6 miles and turn left on first road, 701, West
Follow for .3 miles to Rt. 617
Right onto Rt. 617, follow for .4 miles to Rt.627
Bear left on Rt. 627 for .2 miles. Then left into first drive
